Why did God create Satan?

This question was recently asked by one of my students in class. Many people also ask that questions and wonder why.

Because God is love. God created him whom we now call Satan as a being of very exalted glory. A hint of what Satan was as originally created we get in Ezekiel 28. Because he was a being of such exalted glory he was a mortal being, that is , a being with the power of choosing good or evil. He seems to have been the one that led the worship of the universe. But ambition entered his heart. he seems to have tried to direct to himself what properly belonged to God, and thus he fell. The Devil is not a hideous-looking being with horns and hoofs, but a being of lofty intellogence who has turned his mighty powers to wrong and has thus become the great enemy of God and man.

Creation.

As this is the first post in this blog. I have decided to write about the first chap of the book.
Genesis.

First we all take note of this very important note that there was NEVER a mention of the date of creation in the Bible. There have been a date which i know is going around which is 4004 BC "the supposed date of creation"which was researched by an Irish archbishop named Ussher in the seventeenth century. The Bible makes no such stipulation. The Bible simply states" In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. ( Genesis 1:1)

We all know that God created the whole world/animals/male and female in 6 days. And on the 7th day He rested.
Adam and Eve sinned by eating the tree in the midst of the garden, knowing good and evil. So God banished them from the garden of eden. And God cursed the serpent -" And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel"( Genesis 3:15).
This is a future battle where Satan will bruise Jesus's heels but Jesus will bruise Satan's head. Satan attempt of bruising was when Jesus was on the cross. But it is never fatal, is just a superficial wound that can be easily healed. But Jesus will bruise Satan's head and all of us know that a bruised head isn't a superficial wound. IT IS A FATAL WOUND. God will trump over Satan.

Another thing that i hear most people talking about is WHERE DID CAIN GET HIS WIFE ?
Time and time again used by skeptics to decredit the Book of Genesis.A very famous public account of this question was made in the court room -   Scopes Trial.

We shall take a look at the Bible and the Bible states " Cain went out from the presence of the Lord , and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch : and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. ( Genesis 4:16- 17)
Now alot of people presumed that Cain knew his wife in Nod. What the Bible means by "knew" in such connection  anyone can discover for himself by taking his concordance and looking it up. He will discover that the word used in this connotation does not mean to get acquainted with, but is connected with the procreation of the species (  Genesis 4:1 , Judges 11:39 , 1 Samuel 1:19 , Matthew 1:25 ). Cain doubtless had his wife before going to the land of Nod and took her there with him.
In Genesis 5:4 a statement sums up the life of Adam and Eve—“And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years; And he begat sons and daughters.” This does not say when they were born. Many could have been born in the 130 years (Genesis 5:3) before Seth was born.
There can be no doubt that that Cain married one of Adam's numerous daughters. Yes, Cain married his own sister. That was a necessity in order for human race to thrive and also to keep the Lord's command - And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:28)

Many people immediately reject the conclusion that Adam and Eve's sons and daughters married each other by appealing to the law against brother-sister intermarriage. Some say that you cannot marry your relation.  The law forbidding marriage between close relatives was not given until the time of Moses (Leviticus 18-20). Provided marriage was one man to one woman for life (based on Genesis 2), there was no disobedience to God's law originally when close relatives (even brothers and sisters) married each other. As late as the time of Abraham, he also married his half sister (Genesis 20:12) God blessed this union to produce the Hebrew people through Issac and Jacob. It was until later that God gave Moses laws that forbade such marriages.

You would ask why wouldn't there be any biological deformities between their children.
A simple explaination is Adam and Eve were perfect. They had no genetic mistakes because as we can see from the Bible - And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Genesis 1:31)But, when sin entered the world (because of Adam and Eve—Genesis 3:6Romans 5:12), God cursed the world so that the perfect creation then began to degenerate, that is, suffer death and decay (Romans 8:22). Over thousands of years, this degeneration has produced all sorts of genetic mistakes in living things.Cain was in the first generation of children ever born. He (as well as his brothers and sisters) would have have received virtually no imperfect genes from Adam or Eve, since the effects of Sin. In that situation, brother and sister could have married with God's approval, without any potential to produce deformed offspring.By the time of Moses, degenerative mistakes would have built up in the human race to such an extent that it was necessary for God to forbid brother-sister (and close relative) marriage(Also, there were plenty of people on the earth by then, and there was no reason for close relations to marry.)
And this is the end of the first post.
